1.- Colic: is the most common horse disease. The condition can be caused by a blockage of the intestines, excessive gas in the intestines or the intestines becoming twiste,  also be caused by some gastrointestinal parasit.

2.- Laminitis: refers to inflammation of the digital laminae, of certain internal structures of the hoof. The affected foot may feel hot to the touch.

3.- Equine Influenza: This viral disease is spread by inhalation of drops of infective material. In this cases presents fever, dry coughs, increased mucus production and despondency.

4.- Tetanus: is caused by bacteria entering a wound in a horse. Symptoms of tetanus include a protrusion of the third eyelid and stiff neck, progressing to overall muscle stiffness causing a 'sawhorse' stance.

5.- West Nile Virus: Horses get WNV by being bitten by an infected mosquito. results in encephalitis along with possible meningitis, which is a swelling of the lining of the spinal cord and the brain.

I like this website because here, pigs are not considered only food, they considered as a pet.. and also exist a sanctuary for them, an education center. In this place they promotes compassion and respect for all living beings.

A Country I would like to visit

 Hello everybody, Today I want to talk about a Country that I like to visit.. This Country is Greece, located in Europe.

I like this country because when i was in the school, I read "La Iliada" and "La Odisea" and I imagine all this Stories and the places where it happens. Also I like the pictures that show a beautiful landscapes, really nice monuments like The Parthenon on the Acropolis of Athens and a lot of things related with mythology..I think that this country is so interesting. I just like to visit this place and to know touristic places, their culture, taste their food, learn more     about the History.

I would to study there, one year or two.. maybe do any a postgraduate course, i don't know. 

I have a friend that in 2011 he go to study for 6 months to Spain, and he also travel in many Countries in Erope and include Greece. I'm so jealous of him, I look his photos and I just want to go to Greece and enjoy in the same way.

Well.. I Hope to visit this Country someday

If i'm not wrong, this photo was took for Sebastian, the tourist guide. I live very much this photo because i remember one of the best moments with my classmates of the school, when we were in Bariloche, Argentina. This is our "Study tour" on november, 2010. Here we are in a viewpoint located in the top of "Cerro Campana", nearly to San Carlos de Bariloche, almost 30 minutes by car.

This photo was took in november,9th, our last day there, and it show a great view, With lakes and mountains behind our backs. Also you can see our hair flying, because the wind was so intense jajjaa but it was a great experience, a beautiful trip, and the most important, with a specials friends, your classmates, the people that you spent almost 12 years of your life, and it is nice have this photo.. that remind me only beauty memories.

Webquest 2

 I like this picture because this squirrel to look like my pet, my hamster. She always put her hands like that to hold up their seeds or clean her face. Also i think that they are  funny and mischievous.






This photo show two little frogs, a mother with her son i think. They have a beautiful color that represent their letal poison. This frogs also remind me in the summers, when in my grandparent's house i allways found frogs in the swimming pool.

First of all, i love Pandas. I always watch "Pandamonio" in animal planet channel.  I like this photo because show a mother's love. I'm not so sure but Pandas only have 1 baby for year and is too difficult to get her pregnant so is really nice see her play and enjoy with him.




World's Weirdest: Kangaroo Birth

This videos show a diferent way to rise a kid. The baby kangaroos spend 1 year inside the special bag that their mothers have. In this video you can see in a few minutes the growth of baby kangaroo, when he born, climb up and to arrive to the place that it will be their home for one year until he get ready to go out and explore the outside.

Koalas Saved

In this link you can watch people that is worried for Koalas and they want to help and protect them. Koalas in Australia are one of the country's iconic animals . The Koalas are so cute, they look like a cuddly toy and that's why the people love them. 

Animal Conservation 

This is other link that you maybe visit. Here you also can find stories and people from differents countries but they have the same spirit to preserve and  take care all the species. They work and create projects for animal conservation. If you love animals,  you must be informed about this initiatives and be a part of them :)



 

What's my Opinion?

Today I will give you my opinion about diferents things related to our society.

In the first place I want to talk about the violence on television. Remember my chilhood, when i was 5 years old, the movies and cartoons for childrens that i watched on tv were funny and didn't show any kind of violence. the purpose were to entertain and some of them taugth english, other habits, but today is too diferent. exist diferents cartoons that only show violence and distortion the real world, so the childrens learn this things and after they believe that is it normal but is not. The same thing to happen with the movies. If we go to the cinema there are a few movies with a stronge content, the other ones are related with violence, spiritualism, wars, blood and finally we think that all this things are ok and common.. so I'm totally desagree.

In the second place, about legalizing abortion in some cases, i think that is not ok, because all the human being to deserve born and have a family. For any reason that you don't want a kid, you can to give it for adoption for another family that thay really want a baby.

What is your opinion about owning an exotic pet?  In mi opinion we can have all the pets we want given that we take care of them and give them a nice life, in a nice place and full of love.

What is your opinion about women in the military? i think that is a great place to prove that is not necessary be a man to this job and also to serve one's country  

Finally, related to climate change, all that happen for our own responsability, causing for example the melting of poles for the huge increase to he temperature, and is too late to repair the damage.

My dream job

Today i'm go to tell you about my dream job.. To be a vet :)

When i was a child.. Always spent holidays with my brothers in my grandparent's house. They have a beautiful place..A land near to Viña del mar. There are a lot of kind of frutal trees, they also have chikens, dogs, cats, gooses.. So all my childhood was sorrounded by animals. My grandparents teach me a little things about their animals.. My responsability was feed it and clean their places.. I remenber that i was 5 years old at that time.

When i grow up i want to be a vet because i love animals and i wanted take care of them, heal and find treatments for differents diseases  that at time don't have any cure. I also want to prevent to other people and childrens about diseases.. And that they learn about special cares.. That animals aren't just stuffs, toys.., that they have feelings and we have to protect them.

My others options: agronomy, odontology.. But always my first choise was be a vet.. So when i graduate.. Did a PSU.. And with my score i could to enter on this career.. At U de Chile and my experience until now is so great.. I met a beautiful people.. A have a very good friends.. And the most important thing is that i'm doing my dream.. I'm studing something that i like.. In a place with animals everywhere.. So i'm so happy to be here and i just hope finish soon and dedicate my life to our little brothers.. The animals.

I don't know yet what kind of job i wanna do.. Something related about big animals probably.. But not surgery jajajja I love horses so i think that i will be specialist in this area.

The greatest thing in the world.. my cellphone :)

In our world, every day the scientist and enginners to discover and create all kind of stuffs.. This century is characterize for the big technological growth.

My favorite piece of technology is my cellphone. I really love it because i can do a lot of things everywhere. I can call my parents, my friends... I can speak to anyone. You just have to put the number and in seconds you will be talking with this person, also if she or he is in other country. I also  navigate in internet, in facebook, check my mail, etc.

I use my cellphone every day, In every hour.. Just when I go to bed I stop to use it.. But I put beside my bed just in case to need it. 

I like it because I can be available in every place, every hour.. And conect with all the cybernetic world.

I got my first cellphone when i was 11 years old. My father give to me in my birthday and well, I change  devices each 1 year or when start to fail.. Sometimes I look another one that is according to my requirements and change the old device for this new and advanced cellphone.

Whitout my cellphone I thougth that my life probably would be.. I don't now.. Sometimes  when I forgot my cellphone in home I can't do anything. I'm so dependent of this little device that I really can only imagine spend more than a 3 days without it. Is so sad think like this but is true :/ 

That's it... I hope that you don't have to depends in a computer, tv or cellphone like me.
